BREWER’S CHOICE

DIFFERENT ORIGIN EVERY MONTH

Heartfelt Hello — Peru

Citrus Fruits, Milk Chocolate, Toasted Almond

We’re All On The Same Team

Just a few years ago, the coffee farmers of San José del Alto District in Northern Peru weren’t selling their coffee beans to roasters like JavaPresse. They were selling at low c-market prices to transportation middle-men who moved the beans across the border into Colombia where they could be sold at a markup. For the rural farmers, it was their only option.

Everything changed as local infrastructure improved and agricultural community organizations were more easily able to reach the area. Farmers began collaborating and learning from others around the country. Buyers (like JavaPresse) found it easier to buy beans from rural producers, which means higher prices and sustainable farming  businesses.

This incredible coffee is proof that everything’s better when we realize we’re all on the same team. There’s more to be gained by collaboration and friendship than we can imagine.

OUR coffee reviews speak for themselves

5 stars

"I'm enjoying every coffee I was excited at the idea of getting coffee in the mail, and I loved that your brand is conscious of things like sustainability, fair pay, great customer service, and of course, great coffee. I was so pleasantly surprised by my first bag (August's Quiet Storm), I've enjoyed every coffee since then, and look forward to what will come next."

"It's worth indulging! I love coffee and because I bought into your vision of using the coffee making and coffee drinking processes as a little moment each day to slow down, take stock of things and just indulge in something tasty. I'm only one month in but my first coffee was fantastic and I can't wait for the next one!"

"Enjoy the small pleasures in life. We love your smooth, golden and tasty coffee. Hubby and I enjoy slow mornings with hand ground coffee placed in our Aeropress and topped with whipped, frothy milk. It's a great way to start the day and reminds us to enjoy the small pleasures in life."

FAQ

I See A Lot Of Fruity Names In Your Coffee. Are Your Coffees Flavored?

Those fruity names you see are actually subtle tasting notes we find in the coffee. That's right! High quality and freshly roasted beans can have some incredibly wild and complex flavors. It doesn't mean those fruity flavors are obvoius or very strong - it just means that there are aspects of the coffee's flavor that remind us of the flavors of those fruits.

what is the brewer's choice coffee?

Each month we feature a new, small-batch coffee as our Brewer's Choice bean. These coffees are typically single-origin, medium roast, and are sourced from impact-driven farmers we're proud to work with. It's perfect for adventurous coffee lovers who want to experience the full range of flavors the world of coffee has to offer.

how quickly does my coffee ship?

We roast and ship beans within TWO hours of each other, which means your coffee beans arrive uber fresh! Fresher, in fact, than you'd ever find at the grocery store (by a long shot).

do you ship to apo/military bases?

Absolutely! Please make sure your address is placed in this format so we don't run into any issues with USPS:

Name
Base (ex. CAOC/NALE)
Unit #
APO AE Zipcode

do you accept returns?

We don't accept returned coffee. In some cases, we may refund your order or ship you a different bean that you may enjoy more.

what if i don't like the coffee i purchased?

Oh no! We're extremely proud of our beans and have strict quality standards for every step of their journey. That being said, everyone's taste buds are different. If you find a bean you're not too fond of, let us know and we'll see what we can do to get the right coffee in your hands.

what roast level is your coffee?

We have a signature blend for all three of the main roast levels - light, medium, and dark - to give you access to the full spectrum of delicious coffee flavor. We also roast seasonal single origin coffees to give you more opportunity to try new coffee flavors and aromas.

If you like coffee that tastes like ash, carbon, or rubber though, we'll probably leave you disappointed.

how should i store my coffee?

The best way to store you coffee is out of sunlight, in a cool place, and sealed from air. Any container that seals shut and doesn't let light in will work just fine. This should preserve the fresh flavors of your beans for 14-21 days.

If you go through a bag of coffee very quickly (7-12 days), storage is slightly less important for you. Leaving the beans in the bag and rolling up the opening should be fine, as long as the bag isn't sitting in direct sunlight.

are your coffee certified organic?

While some of our coffees are Certified Organic, not all of them are. The main reason is that the price of the certification is too high for most coffee farmers to afford. So even though 100% of our farm partners grow their crops organically - without pesticides and chemicals - not all of them are officially certified.

You can read more about why we don't always buy Certified Organic beans right here.

is your coffee genetically modified?

None of the coffees we sell have come from genetically modified coffee plants. In fact, there are currently no GMO coffees available commercially in the US.

what forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and payments through PayPal.
